This is a nice little necklace, but ne warned that it has a very short chain and the bow is not free on the chain but part of the chain itself. The bow is about 9/16" in width. On the chain near the clasp are four lops in the line of the chain at 1 inch intervals to allow for adjusting the chain smaller. The chain itself is box style that measures at 16.5" long, which is really pretty short for a necklace chain.It might fit a smaller child or a very petite woman, but anyone with a thicker neck will definitely need an extension to allow it to fit. That's definitely something to be aware of with this one. The listing does state that the chain is 14+2.5 inches, but a little more length would have been nice.The listing states that this necklace is stainless steel and gold plated with 18K gold. The necklace itself is white in color, which suggests the gold is an alloy of gold and nickel or zinc. That's fine, though it just looks like silver or even steel so the gold coating really isn't recognizable as such.In any case, the necklace looks very nice. I am so happy with this little bow necklace! Now my bow set is complete! This was exactly what I needed and is of pretty decent quality as long as you take care of it. It’s durable enough to handle probably an over night or two if you forget to take it off and wipe it down but I wouldn’t make it a habit to preserve the plating it has. Comparable to others in the industry. It’s all a matter of who loves the design. I also love that!
