I ordered this necklace for my daughter, and she loves it, as the garnet is her birthstone. The gem is certainly the centerpiece of the jewelry, and the setting helps allow for cleaning and also light to expose its brilliance. The only problem we have noticed is that the necklace's chain is frequently getting twisted and tangled, even with just normal wear. Her hair gets tangled in it, too, but she keeps wearing it. Not sure why this issue is being faced, and its a shame because she loves it so much. We may end up just replacing the chain. YMMV. The gem seems to be of very high quality and that's what matters most for us.

This is a dainty and beautiful sapphire necklace. The sapphire is the perfect color blue, and the stone is not cloudy at all. It comes in a pretty blue box similar in color to a certain famous boutique jewelry store.The chain is delicate and does a wonderful job of showing off the beauty of the gemstone. I had a bit of trouble with the clasp, mostly due to my lack of fingernails, because it is tiny. If you have arthritis or large fingers, the clasp might be difficult for you. The necklace is adjustable, there are several places (links ?) you can attach the clasp, making the necklace longer or shorter. I think this is a nice feature that more necklaces should have. I'm not sure how well the chain will hold up over time, but so far so good. I got lots of compliments the several times I've worn it, far more than any other necklace I own. It would make a good gift, I could see giving one to my oldest, who was also born in September.

This was an absolutely great purchase for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. The necklace has a high-quality chain and the gem is mounted firmly into place. The gem itself is gorgeous and looks stunning against the silver backing. I am extremely happy with this purchase and think that it represents great value for money also compared to similar items I have seen. Highly recommended!

The blue birthstone is pretty small, smaller than I imagined, and I think the pics make one think it will be bigger. But it's a decent color, so it does stand out nicely. The chain is pretty flimsy looking. All in all, this is fairly low quality... definitely a nice gift for a kid, but I'd say less so for an adult.
