The down side to having large fingers is most jewelry company's heat up the metal and thin out the band for resizing...they don't want to add metal despite the loss of integrity of the piece. So while the ring is beautiful and fits, the band is super thin, so I only wear it for short periods of time when going out...and I wanted something I could wear all the time.

I ordered two - the first was much too small (consider ordering a size up from your usual ring size) and the quality was not great. The stone in the middle wiggled enough that you could hear it click.The second was a size up and for perfectly. The stone was secure - no wiggling - and the ring looks beautiful. The color-change is fascinating. Goes from pinkish-purple to gray-blue to an orange color, depending on the type of lighting. Love it!

I really like this ring. I know this states "garnet" but I am not convinced. The red is nice and dark, no trace of brown. Is comfortable and true to size. I do not understand the category "thickness" but the band is not too thick and is comfortable to wear. This is a bezel setting so the stone does not protrude above the mounting so provides a fair amount of protection to the stone. A great ring to gift.
