Received this today, favorably impressed, time will tell if it’s real sterling.The seller is smart and honest in calling this “dainty” - the chain is indeed on the thin side but thankfully doesn’t feel weak. The stone isn’t huge but is extremely appropriate if you expect it to look real. Anything much larger will scream fake. I got the round amethyst and it’s on the darker side which I like.It’s good that the chain isn’t shorter. I didn’t want a choker - I wanted the stone to fall below the hollow in my throat. To get it to drop 2 inches below the hollow, I had to use the chain’s full length, and clip the clasp through a random link, and not the larger actual circle link you’re supposed to use. Hopefully it’ll hold. I’m 5’10” (without a thick neck) so my length requirements might be a bit more than yours.Because the chain runs through the back of the stone (and not above it) it can try to not lay flat. Because of where the chain goes through, stone’s a bit top heavy but it doesn’t look bad.The simple layout of a round stone surrounded by “diamonds” is timeless and matches a set of earrings I already own, and many that are available on Amazon and elsewhere.Overall, it’s a pretty item that seems fairly priced. Will update with any changes, but quite happy for now.
