The adjustment screw and guide rods are precise and the holder operates quite smoothly - it is exactly what you would expect with regard to “Swiss precision and quality.”I have used this on 18s pocket watch movements as well as smaller 1930s wrist watch movements; it has a wide range of adjustability and securely holds movements of varying sizes. This is a must-have tool for servicing mechanical watches.There are cheaper movement holders out there, but it is nice to find something that ISN’T made in China and is actually built with precision. Those are both wins in my book.

This is THE right tool for the job, and I'm the kinda guy who believes that every job has the right tool & there's the right tool for every job.Spend the few extra $$ and buy this, rather than the cheaper plastic ones. This just works better! Your watch movement (s) won't slip/slide around in the mounting area. Also, this item is more comfortable to hold onto & work with.

Delivered in a safe and timely manner. The product has rust on the two supporting bars. The plastic case holders aren't as popular as the metal ones so I figure this has ben sitting in a warehouse for a good amount of time collecting moisture.
