I just got mine in the mail. Oh what pleasure to open up and see there a quality piece of jewelry! Many of today's fashion jewelry is "bib" or choker length and I do not look good in that size but they are too irresistible to not buy. I wear them but am not happy with them, then while looking for something else, I stumbled or bumbled across this beautiful chain. Being older with small hands, my older husband has to close my necklaces for me and man does he gripe and gripe and gripe because the ends are so small. I realize that the necklace people are trying to make the fastening unnoticable but they are approaching not having elderly buyers not buy their stuff and elderly buyers have the money to spend. This necklace Safety chain is almost the answer I'm looking for (I would like some tool that would hook my necklace together but I haven't found one - inventor make your fortune! But I plan on wearing this chain to supplement my current and future too short necklaces so that I can wear the new "hip" ones. This chain allows me to have at least one side of my necklace big enough for our hands to put it together. I did not realize that Belcho was handicraft made. I was shocked but very very pleased that they were my suppliers. I felt so honored that they made this beautiful .go between necklace for me! Now I am going to look through there stuff for a safety chain for my hand bracelets because in the past, I have avoided wearing one because my jewelry could fly off into the toilet! I will find another from this company that is about 2 inches long and never have to worry again. It has been years since I wore bracelets because of this problem. Thank you Belcho for your wonderful gift to me and until I get my new necklace I can use this one! I am so glad that I found out about you! Look for more orders from me!

Sturdy extender. Total length 4 and 5/16th inches. Beautiful design of soft oval teardrop shape links, I checked with my jewelers loop- all links solidly closed. No twisting, no pitting, no jagged edges. Gorgeous, uniform, soft gleaming silver, high quality construction. All parts used are exactly the same material, thus perfectly matches in weight, design, color. Lobster clasps at each end, both completely and solidly close, tabs are not sharp nor protruding way out, do not catch on hair or clothing, easy to grasp with short fingernails. Extender came in three layers of protective wrap, and lastly placed in a padded manila envelope.

The clasp bent immediately when try to attach it to the bracelet link. This safety chain would only work on a very thin bracelet link. It was packaged well but that's about the only good thing I can say.Now I have to spend more money going to the jeweler to attach one that actually will function.

So far seems to work well, solid clasps. Took off 1 star because it is awfully large. Would probably not wear this with my hair up where it would show.

The clasps on this safety chain are both too small to attach to my bracelet. When ordering this item, there was a choice of lengths for the chain but no choice regarding the size of the clasps. I would have paid an extra charge in order to get larger clasps. I tried using the safety chain on a bracelet with smaller links so that the clasps fit but it did not look good because the safety chain had wider links than the actual bracelet, In summary, in my opinion, both clasps should be larger, or the customer should be given a choice regarding the size of the clasps.

This is a high quality, genuine silver necklace extender / safety chain. Note, this extender is not for delicate necklaces or bracelets. It is 5.5 mm thick, and has considerable weight on its own. I used it over the holidays to extend my heavy onyx or pearl or garnet necklaces and it worked just great! I am glad I paid that much extra to get this high quality item. Very pleased.

I bought 3 different lengths of this necklace extender because I don't like necklaces that feel like they're choking me. The longest one is 5.5 inches. Spending a little extra money on these was well worth it. They are sturdy and very nicely made. I know these will last much longer then the inexpensive necklace extenders I purchased in the past.

I have chains with larger, and heavier links. This extender is of very good quality, and made in Cal, USA. I have used it several times and no problem in attaching it to my chains. The picture is correct that each end has a lobster clasp that perform well.
