I bought two of Tuesday blue Barton Racing straps for a Citizen AT8020-54L World Chronograph watch. The Barton straps are much better quality than the leather strap that can be purchased from Citizen and cost less. Citizen's strap is marked "genuine leather" which is a lower grade of leather that doesn't break in but rather tends to crack and get cruddy after several months of use. The liner on the Citizen strap also tends to crack.The Barton strap is made from Horween leather which is a leather than is stuffed full of oils and waxes. If the leather gets scuffed or bends the marks can usually be rubbed out by hand. The brand new Barton strap is somewhat stiff when brand new but begins to break in within the first few days and takes the curve of the wrist. It is very comfortable right from the start. The liner of the strap is a thin piece of NuBuck which is very comfortable on the wrist.The fit seems accurate. I'm using the third smallest hole and it looks like it will fit up to an 8" wrist when used on a 42mm watch. The strap is just a hair under 4mm thick so it is sturdy and strong enough to support a watch of this size. The buckle is well made and strong. The quick release spring bars are holding well but in the past I've removed those and used standard spring bars. For now I'll keep using the quick release spring bars.I was able to get some of these straps in the Racing style and the Rally style for $18.99 but some were about $45. While I was able to buy more straps at the lower price they are well worth the higher price and I bought one of those in black for another watch and will buy more. There is also a Classic style strap available that has no vent holes.I like this leather strap because it looks great, is comfortable, sturdy and made from good leather and is reasonably priced. It also comes in a 23mm width which many straps don't. The Navy blue is a very dark blue that is a close match to the Navy blue dial on my watch. I will be buying more of these Horween leather straps.

These Barton racing style bands are the best I have ever owned in my 74 years. The holes allow water vapor to escape, so there is no sweat build up. I actually forget I have a watch on. I went to bed without taking it off one night. I've never had that happen before! My girl friend liked it so much that I had to order her one too. The leather is just the right softness, yet firm enough to be durable. The quality is sensational! The 316L is an excellent spec for the clasp as this metal is very corrosion resistant, as I had a lot of experience with this material in my career as a manufacturing engineer. I've owned the canvas and sailcloth Barton bands before, so already have experience with the quick change pins. That is a great innovation! I like the look, the feel, and the design of these Barton Racing Style bands. A real winner here!

This is the band on my wrist! Great thick, soft, rugged, masculine and a very well finished leather band. Two guys in the office noticed it. The 'Quick Release' pins that hold it onto the watch take just seconds to put the band firmly on. It takes less time than to write this review! I'm going to get another different band, so I can pop on a dress black band for when I'm in a suit. I can change the look of the watch in 60 seconds. Love the quality of the Barton band. I don't have to buy NEW watches now anymore, just change the band for a totally new look in a minute. I'm hooked!(Note: How the band's finish goes into the holes of this Rally style, is how this thick leather band proves itself in the quality look of it. It's THIS detail that cheaper bands lack, aside from the very thick leather).

Excellent appearance, comfortable, more than reasonable price, it seems of good quality, although distinguishable from an original Hamilton strap. Just note that they are very prone to scratches, even on the first day of use and due to the pressure of the clasp. I recommend? Yeah.

Ordered the 22mm leather racing strap in navy blue. The quick change pins make it very easy to switch straps, no tool needed. The style and quality of the strap is excellent. Only worn a few times, but it looks great, does the trick!

The rally strap looks terrific on my vintage Tissot PR516, recreating the original 1970 look of the watch. Barton also executes this with high quality and their nifty quick release spring bars.

I ordered Barton's leather strap for my 45mm dial & 12.5mm thick chronometer. I had to return the band because it was the wrong width, the width I ordered was too narrow and the quick-release pins could not securely snap into the lugs. So I have a large chronometer (marine wristwatch). It is big and heavy. I wanted a large dial face so I can clearly see the time. As a result, the watch is heavy. I had a leather band, but it wore out and I replaced it with an excellent stainless steel bracelet that came with the watch. The bracelet was too loose, so I removed some segments. However, it is now too tight. The crown digs into the back of my hand. I wanted to go back to a more comfortable leather band. The Barton band is made from high-quality leather from I could tell, it is also perforated. But my watch is large (heavy stainless steel) and the quick-release pins were too weak to secure my watch. Also the quick-release mechanism requires a hole on the underside of the band, which weakens the integrity of the leather. Barton strap is a good option for smaller watches.
