I purchased this necklace for a dear friend who just recently adopted her beautiful daughter through the foster care system. She was born in March and adopted in October so I wanted something that symbolized her birth into the world and her birth into a new forever family. Something that Mom can wear now and then pass on to her daughter when she is older. It is so dainty, delicate and the opal is very colorful. The blue topaz was very muted indoors but once outside they were very distinguishable. GemStar USA was extremely helpful and accommodating to my requests for the perfect gift.I attached two pictures of actual item- one from indoors and one from outside to get the full spectrum of colors.
