Okay, here's the skinny. I needed a jewelry holder - well, need is a strong word. I wanted a jewelry holder and came across this little beauty. There were many to choose from in the same fashion and I thought it was different and unique to have one that looks like a beautifully mannequin. When she arrived, I assembled her - placing holder in the top of her neck and voila! Done. But I did something else. I see no reason to ever dis-assemble her after my 1 second of strenuous labor putting her together and Crazy glued the holder to the hole in the neck. Yep, sure did. Then I hung my necklaces on her. Let me tell you - she is one strong lady. Claret has good weight and stands up nicely. She's not as tall as I hoped but I double looped my necklaces on her. She is solid, beautiful and looks so pretty on my desk because there wasn't room for her on my chest of drawers. No regrets about buying Claret. She's decorative as well as utlitarian. And because something is utilitarian, doesn't mean it has to be ugly. She's a perfect 10. And oh yes, the dress is to die for!
