about item
  • SWAP IN SECONDS: No need to remove spring bars to swap different color combinations in and out. Buy multiple and swap in seconds for a new look daily!
  • SELECT PROPER WIDTH: Available in 18mm, 20mm, 22mm and 24mm widths to fit thousands of watch models. To determine proper width for your watch, use a metric ruler to measure the lug width of your watch or the width of the current band at the point where it attaches. If your watch has an odd lug width (19mm, 21mm or 23mm), we recommend going with the strap 1mm larger than measured. The material is soft and should squeeze in nicely.
  • OPTIMAL LENGTH: All widths (18mm, 20mm, 22mm & 24mm) measure approximately 10.5 inches (270mm) in length not including the buckle and fit wrists from 5" to 8" in circumference. However, watch size and geometry also impacts fit. If band is initially longer than desired, fold free end neatly back into the keeper loop or cut to desired length. If trimmed, expose cut end to match or lighter flame to avoid fraying.
  • SEATBELT NYLON and SURGICAL GRADE STAINLESS STEEL: Seatbelt style nylon weave 1.4mm in thickness. Perfect to fit the vast majority of watches while remaining lightweight, breathable and very sturdy. Buckle fabricated from 316L surgical grade stainless steel. All materials are hypoallergenic.
  • LASER CUT, PREMIUM STITCHING, WATER PROOF and WASHABLE: Laser cut to eliminate fraying; Custom stitched with clean lines to provide styel and strength. Stink resistant and machine washable.

ATTACHING THE STRAP

Refer to the diagram in the picture above. First, remove the original band and reinsert spring bars into the watch head ( replacement spring bars sold separately if needed ). Then, simply feed the leather strap between the spring bar and watch casing, behind the watch head, and up through the other spring bar. Run through the leather ring on the short strap to secure watch head. No need to remove spring bars (pins) to swap between different colors.

WRIST SIZING

All of our standard straps are designed to fit wrists between 5 1/2 and 8 inches in circumference. However, the size and geometry of the watch will also impact fit.

COMPATIBLE LUG WIDTHS

These bands are compatible with any traditional watch that uses standard 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, or 24mm spring bars.

*If your watch has an odd lug width of 19mm, 21mm, or 23mm select the strap that is one mm wider. The strap will squeeze in nicely.

I think the Barton Jetson Nato (black & gray Bond) band is very unique and the most stylish band that I have. It matches nicely with my Seiko SKX007 too. Even compared to expensive $100 metal bands, I think the Nato bands have a more wow factor especially because they are rarely seen compared to metal and leather bands. I am a big fan of Nato style. At first, I wasn't quite happy with the 2 band layers behind the case which pushes the watch out from the wrist further but it grew on me and that is what makes it unique. The same goes for the unique folding loop. It makes the band very unique and that is always good. Comfort? It is comfortable and fits nicely but it can't match the comfort of the Barton Elite Silicone or Barton Canvas band. Also at first, the Jetson band will feel kind of hard. It is thicker than normal nylon bands so it needs to be broken in. Wear it more and keep the band locked up in circle shape when not being worn for a few days. Also do waves and bend it around in various directions for a few minutes. It will break in much faster. Quality and durability? The band is solid quality and very durable. It is thicker which means more durable than normal nylon bands which its holes would wear out easier over time. Don't wear it too tight where the pressure is on the holes. I give this band a 4.75 stars out of 5.

I was a bit surprised when I opened the package with this Barton strap inside. I ordered this the Jetson style over the ballistic style because I was looking for added durability, and I was not disappointed. I was surprised because the strap appears to be twice as durable as the ballistic style NATO straps that I use. I was worried the strap would be too stiff, but after a few weeks of wearing it, it broke in and outperforms similar products.Another detail that didn’t jump out to me in provided photos is that the watch strap has a sheen to it. When the light hits it, there is a slight reflection that makes it almost shiny. While I wasn’t expecting this, it works for the watch that I pair it with, so I’m happy, but you should know that before you decide on this color. The color is a beautiful dark blue that pairs perfectly with my dive watches.Other reviews mention the Jetson style strap feeling like a car seat belt. This is accurate. It feels nearly as thick as well. Since I have large wrists, it works well for me. With the added durability comes the extra thickness and stiffness. This means that your watch will sit higher off your arm than with other thinner straps. I have included pictures to illustrate this point. Again, this isn’t a negative, just how this type of strap operates.I find the Barton Jetson NATO watch strap comfortable to wear not only for days in a row, but overnight as well. I choose NATO straps for my watches because they stand up to abuse. They don’t cut or tear easily, they can be subjected to sand, mud, rocks, water, blood, basically anything you can throw at it, and will rinse clean. For a deep clean, take the band off your watch, loop it through a belt loop on a pair of pants, and run it through your clothes washing machine. (Hang it up to dry)It doesn’t get easier than that. This watch band is good enough to stand by you wherever life’s adventures may take you.

To be fair, I read the reviews ahead of time and knew that this band would be a little longer than I preferred, but I really wanted the "Classic Bond" color scheme and it was not offered in Barton's ballistic style straps that I normally order (and thoroughly enjoy). Sorry in advance for the length of the review, but hopefully it will help others decide.Although the product description shows these as being 10.5 inches in length mine did, in fact, come at a full 11 inches when delivered. This is not a big deal to me, as I tuck the excess band material back in and don't have to worry about it!As others have also mentioned, I've gotten this band wet once or twice and as a result the band stretched ever so slightly and showed some fraying. Again, to me - I expected this based on the materials and therefore was not surprised/disappointed.The major downfall for me and my medium sized wrists is the combination of softer, "safety-belt" material and the length of the short/back strap. The short/back strap is about a quarter inch longer than on my other ballistic straps which means that the point of contact between my wrist and where the short/back strap attaches to the long/front strap is further away from the actual watch. Therefore, since the material is soft and more stretchy than the ballistic nylon the watch has more room to move side to side (relative to the watch face/band) and tends to not stay in place quite as well. It's not the worst thing in the world, but its a bit annoying to have to re-adjust the watch face. Those with larger wrists might not suffer the same problem.Overall, I still wear this band a lot and really enjoy it and the others I have purchased from this brand!
