I was surprised how much I liked this watch! It's very appealing in person and looks fantastic on the wrist.I've been collecting watches for decades--everything from Zenith to Pagani Design--and this watch does not disappoint! They really got the dial color right--it's unique with a deep blue metallic color....yet not overly shiny.The Bauhaus styling reminds me of a Junghans or a Nomos. Those are much more expensive watches and often have less complicated movements and less interesting straps vs. this one.I am still working on figuring out the movement in this Sollen. The skeletonized rotor makes me think it's a Miyota. But I guess it could be a Sollen in house movement that happens to have a similar rotor. It's seems to be pretty accurate with a respectable power reserve. I love the 24 hour clock in the 9:00 position.I also love the mesh bracelet. It looks great on the watch--gives it a classy, dressy appearance, while still being appropriate in a casual setting. It's a satin polished finish, which I think is perfect. And I really like the quick change pins for easy removal/strap changes!One thing I have a problem with is the clasp. Clasps on mesh bracelets are notoriously troublesome. Unfortunately, this one is no different. It's far from an "easy on/off" bracelet clasp. But if I fiddle with it for 30 seconds to a minute and I can get it on. It comes off quickly and easily though. I just worry that it's going to fall off my wrist and hit the ground at some point. But that hasn't happened so far, so I guess I'll just roll with it. I may change the bracelet out down the road, though. I just love the bracelet so much that I'd hate to do that. If I could change just the clasp--that would be fantastic. But I've never figured out a way to do that.A Google search of Sollen turns up a German word for "Should". Maybe this is the way watches "Should" be. I'm okay with the name--it at least seems to have had some thought put into it. (I note that the watch is actually made in China--so it's a German name on a Chinese watch, as far as I can tell. I have plenty of Chinese watches and they are all very well made--but this one takes the standard to a higher level. The finishing is spot on, with no sharp edges or poorly finished areas.)All things considered, I'm delighted to have this watch. I'm glad to have found it here on the venerable Amazon! The SOLLEN Blue-Face Automatic Watch arrived in a beautiful presentation box, complete with instructions. This is variant to the black, which I also own.This is the second SOLLEN I own, which I think says it all or at least much. A watch is a watch, until you buy a Sollen. This timepiece is stylish, the band fits well, the device keeps time as analog, the opening to the works is a wonderful stylistic touch, and in short, this watch looks much more expensive than it actually is.At something close to $200 when I obtained it, this not only offers excellent value for money it looks far more expensive than that. I really like mechanical watches, so I was intrigued when I came across the SOLLEN automatic watch with its minimalist and stylish design. The watch came in a nice presentation box but without a manual or a warranty card, which is a glaring omission. The only piece of paper that was included in the package was instructions on how to adjust a strap. However, when it comes to the watch itself, I was impressed by the level of craftsmanship. The 42mm stainless steel case has a nice heft and premium feel to it. And despite being a larger size, the svelte 9.9mm thickness hugs the wrist comfortably thanks to the curved case back. The dial itself is simple and beautiful. The deep metallic blue sunburst finish is unique and mesmerizing to look at, with just the right amount of shimmering effect. The minimalist styling reminds me of much more expensive brands. Yet this watch holds its own with thoughtful details like the framed date window at 6 o'clock and the helpful 24-hour subdial. Powering the watch appears to be a solid automatic movement, however, I was not able to determine its origin. So far, it has kept excellent time so far with a respectable power reserve. The luminous hands and markers also make it easy to read in low-light conditions. One of my favorite aspects is the stainless steel mesh bracelet. It has a rich satin finish that elevates the overall look. The adjustable links allow a perfect fit, and I love the functionality of the quick-release pins for easy strap swaps. It does take some time to get used to the slightly finicky clasp, but it has yet to accidentally come undone. Overall, I'm impressed by the quality and style of this SOLLEN watch, especially at its reasonable price point. It seriously punches above its weight class. For the design, build, and mechanical execution – I can recommend this minimalist beauty.

My son likes minimalist jewelry and everything else minimalist... simple and plain. He really likes the watch, the look and feel. It is very minimalist. It looks very nice when worn. It keeps good time and he really likes it. It is an elegant looking piece of jewelry. It has the 24 hour time and the date on the face. The hands glow in the dark. Reminiscent of an earlier time. I love the colors and it’s very sleek and stylish, giving the person wearing it an enhanced aesthetic.. because we don’t need watches anymore, it’s because an “ accessory “ and just ups your vibe a notch. It’s a really pretty watch and it comes with adjustment instructions- the only thing that I didn’t like was the Chinese sticker on the box , it was hard to get off and the presentation box was ruined because of the glue. The company put so much effort into the box , it kinda sucks that takes it away and it is unnecessary in my opinion, put that on the bottom..
