Bottom line: it would be worth it if it cost 2x as much. This product is a homage to a well known watch, and the value is unbeatable. The combination of brushed and polished surfaces is exceptional, and the matching is top tier. The sapphire glass has a slight blue tint but I enjoy the look. The metal bracelet it comes with is comfortable and easy to adjust (push out pins, not screws), but I did replace it for a lighter nylon strap. The lume is EXCEPTIONAL. The photos above were from charging the watch with regular indoor lights. The watch remains easily readable for at least 4 hours in total darkness (most likely more). The difference in blue vs green lume is very appealing. I have a Heimdallr Homage watch (cost ~$200) and this lume is FAR superior. My only critique would be the bezel, which I believe is misaligned by 1/2 click or so. It really isn’t noticeable, and it can be forced to be perfectly aligned, but will drift back. No one but me will ever notice, so still 5 star watch. The clicks are even and solid.I will likely be buying this watch in several other variations because of how impressed I am.

I have been wearing my Addiesdive Captain Willard wristwatch daily for a little over two months. It is unbelievably accurate which is due to the tested and true Seiko automatic movement. The lume is bright and long lasting. The synthetic sapphire crystal is durable and clear. Additionally, the anti-reflective coating on the crystal is extremely effective. The ceramic bezel insert is hard-wearing while also providing a rich, upmarket appearance. The case itself is solid and features a perfect combination of brushed and polished surfaces. My model came with the rubber strap. It was okay but the watch is better served with the aftermarket tropic style strap which I switched the original out for.The lume on the ceramic bezel is bluish while the lume on the dial is greenish. I like this feature as it provides a clear contrast between the dial and the bezel when in darkness as well as offering a nice complexity to its night time character. However, some may dislike the differing lume colors for being inconsistent. The one and only drawback, at least for me, was the case back. Though it is handsome with its depiction of the diver's mask and crossed spearguns comprising the Addiesdive logo, it is also rough and ever so slightly sharp. The result is a very minute discomfort thar takes a little getting used to. It also has a tendency to remove the hair from your wrist. Overall, this downside is quite minor when considering the high quality of the watch otherwise. Still, it would be nice for the manufacturer to address this detail. In conclusion, this is a fantastic time piece that competes easily with watches far above its modest price tag.

I was worried about how big it is, but still took a chance on it. It wears REALLY well! Bezel is better than some of my more expensive automatic watches! Lume is about a 7 out of 10. The crystal is very nice for the $100 I paid for this watch. I have to say this one more time, this addiesdive feels amazing on the wrist!!! Not too heavy and not obnoxiously big when wearing. What are you waiting for? Pull the trigger on this well made watch!

Year and a half update. I decided it was time for a minor accuracy adjustment. Should have left well enough alone. As you have probably guessed, I "touched" the hair spring. It's a done deal, no going back.Result of all of all of this is that I liked the 'Captain' so much that there was no question but I would replace it. It's a really nice watch and doubly so for the price.Update: after four days, new 'Captian' is running six or seven seconds slow per day out of the box. Close enough. Maybe it will improve after a break-in period. Now, back to the original review....Very masquline, large and heavy, looks good. Very nice face and markings. Very accurate out of the box - off by about a minute over a week's time before adjusting. I like it!Update after about a year's use. Will compeat with ANY brand dive watch. Simply amazing watch but when you consider the price .... Crazy!!!Almost a year later. This may be the best value in dive watches anywhere !!! No complaints, just praise. Fully adjustable and capable of high accuracy. VERY DURABLE surfaces. Should last for many years. Bequeath it to your grandchildren. The Addisdive 'Captian Willard' watch.

Actually, I do have one complaint, but it's my own fault...I should have waited a couple more days so I would have gotten a slightly better price, but who knew! Anyway, I got my watch quickly, it was in good shape on delivery, the packaging is clever (a miniature diver's equipment case, I guess), the watch looks great and appears to be keeping good time (I've only had it a couple of days). One caveat, or maybe two...this is NOT a lightweight watch...it's pretty beefy and you will definitely notice the weight. Also, the metal band is made for a large wrist. I have slightly larger than average wrists and I still had to remove a couple of links for a comfortable fit. In summary, this Captain Willard homage seems to be a very nice watch at this price point!

The dial is what keeps you glancing down at your wrist once every minute or two - if you are busy. If you are not busy well…The case, the finish, the way it lays on your wrist; top shelf. For a little over $100 I have a beautiful watch with a sapphire crystal, a bullet proof, automatic self-winding, with hacking, movement. But back to the best part, the white wave dial. It pops as if it has a light shining down on it. If I had a negative it would be the crown. Mine works well but the precise tolerances required to allow for it to function within the husky crown guard makes me wonder if every unit will be as good as mine. This is a heavy watch and yes the bracelet is just OK. But again - for $100 bucks I think this is a sure bet. Order yours quick!
