I am born from New York and know what the difference is from Quality Jewelry and knockoffs.Looks O.K. to me and the GM indicates a Makers Mark I cannot identify at this time as I have no further Proven data, so it is only speculative as to origin.The G.M. in my opinion is not Gun Metal, but the initials of the Company or original designer in Italy. Probably transferred to another company in a transition.

It's so bright and shiny. It sparkles in the light nicely. I got the 4.8mm 30 inch one. I wish I would have gotten a 28 inch because30 is a big long and I'm a tall guy. But I love it none the less. I wear it everyday and it's never tarnished or anything. It look like it did when I first opened it. It's the real deal 929 sterling Italian silver.

Bought this for my son as like a starter necklace. It looked good at first! Upon arrival that is. After wearing it for a few days his neck started to get irritated and the color of the necklace changed to a darker hue. He didn't shower with it on or anything. Even would take it off before bed. I tried looking up what the markings mean on the necklace as it has other symbols like a GM on the clasp. I looked it up and it says it's a gunmetal coating that supposedly helps with tarnish prevention. I think the only real silver on the necklace was the clasp after all. A pretty disappointing purchase, for me and my son.

This was kinda a shock it look amazing heavy and has amazing shine,so now if it stays that way its well worth the money. I have about 11 necklaces this 1 is 1 of my favorite. All my charms fit it . I do clean my necklaces and bracelets a couple times a week with a good jewelry cloth I don't like the 1s they send with jewelry. I. Bought 1 that's half size of a wash cloth and about half as thick as 1 so it makes a difference on what u use to keep silver sparkling
