Nice watch for the money

The wife needed a knock around watch while bike riding. I wanted to pick up a Citizens Eco drive divers watch but it would take a while to be delivered. I looked around and saw this. For $20 bucks how could you go wrong? The watch is attractive, easy to read, a nice size for a small woman. The light feature works well. So now we will see how reliable it is and how long the battery lasts. IMHO, this is a no brainer buy.

I love the bright color - when I went shopping for a temporary replacement for my "real" watch while it was being repaired, I specifically looked for something that would be fun to wear.It seems to be accurate, time-wise.I love the push-button to light it up - watches that rely on luminous hands and luminous dots on the dial are basically impossible to read at night. The two issues I have, that keep it from being a five-star rating:1) The band size. It is NOT sized for a larger-than-average wrist. I was able to fasten it on the last notch, but just barely.2) The battery doesn't appear to be replaceable - at least, it seemed like the back was basically screwed on and difficult or impossible to remove without damaging the watch. Other battery watches I've owned have basically a plain disc, that you can simply pop off with the right tools. Of course, at this price, the watch is basically disposable, but still it would be nice to have something with a replaceable battery.

I like super simple. Being analog, it's simple to set, easy to read and works great. It has a nice light for the dial if needed and was waterproof for occasional swimming. I have a very small wrist and it was a nice comfortable fit. I had my first one about 3 years and wore it almost daily. When the battery quit I decided it was cheap enough to replace the watch rather than trying with replacing the battery.

I needed a new watch that I could wear in the shower, and this one is great! Many of the other ones I looked at were cute, but stated they were only water resistant so you could wash your hands, but not shower or swim with them on. I was used to a "boyfriend" style/over-sized watch that dangled loosely. This one is quite dainty, and probably looks more appropriate on my child sized wrists. The second hand is red, so it nicely stands out, which was important to me. I was wearing my husbands watch until this one arrived in the mail. The one thing I was going to miss was his had a button feature that lit up the face so I could see the time at night in bed (I wear glasses and cannot see the alarm clock's display). When my watch arrived I looked at it, and there was a purple button. I pressed it and, to my surprise and delight, it lights up the face! This was a definite bonus I did not see mentioned in the product details. A face with florescent hour markings was mentioned, but that is different, as it needs recent light shined on it to glow. This one's whole face lights up, which is wonderful. Plus they go with my purple glasses!

There's nothing I don't like about this watch! Easy to read, fits my average size female arm, keeps good time. The first time the batteries went out, I just ordered another. Today, I changed the batteries in both watches. Tedious work, but not overly difficult. It has two batteries. The larger one is on top of the smaller one. The larger provides light at the push of a button, the smaller one actually runs the watch. Get a tiny screwdriver, often sold in a glasses repair kit, and take off the four screws on the back.Inside you'll see a CR 1220 size button battery, slipped into a thin metal bracket. I used my tiny screwdriver to pry the battery out, pushing it out toward the strap. The metal slightly lifts up with a little effort and you may need to pry up a couple of tabs slightly, and that's okay...just bend them back once the new battery is in place. Once the larger battery is out, under it you will see a smaller 377/376 size battery. It too can be lifted up and out with the small screwdriver.Replace the smaller battery, then slide the larger battery in the metal bracket...this is tricky but with a little work, it can be done. Check to see if it's ticking. Replace the back, add the four screws....done!!As I'm typing this, I'm thinking the larger battery that powers the dial light may have not even been bad, since I rarely use the light. A battery tester would allow you like to check. You'll notice once you replace the smaller battery, the watch starts ticking.Buy and enjoy!

I purchased this watch March 24, 2024. I wore it a few times a week since buying it to keep track of time at the preschool I work at. I noticed today, April 30, 2024 that it stopped working. This is very disappointing! I hardly wore it.

This has been a great little watch for me. Water resistance has been excellent, the little light continues to work after a year or so, and it meets my needs as a healthcare provider. (An analog face and an easy to clean band are essential). Changing the battery, however, was a major operation. I managed it using the following tools: a bright headlamp, a tiny Phillips head screwdriver, a pair of tweezers (because those screws are SMALL), and two batteries. That’s right - it takes 2 batteries, not the single one listed online. There is a bigger CR1220 and a smaller 377 underneath. In addition to the 4 screws holding the back in place, there are 2 more holding the battery bracket for the larger battery inside. I then had to very carefully pry the smaller (377) battery out of its housing - there’s a tiny lever over the small battery that you can push back with your tiny screwdriver and it will come out.In short, I would just have purchased a new watch if I didn’t already have the tools needed to accomplish the job and if I were able to find a different brand that met my needs. But now it is done and the little watch is ticking along. Not sure if it will still be water resistant. Fingers crossed.
