This is a sturdy instrument of beautiful simplicity. The band size can only be adjusted by removing or adding links which requires a special tool. While the tool is not included, one can be obtained from Amazon for a very low price. Therefore, I have revised my previous review upward because this is a very handsome watch for a modest price.

The watch face is large but it isn't too thick. I have had really good luck with armitron watches except for the breaking the time adjustment knob when it catches on something. The bracelet on this watch is somewhat larger than others I have had which were too tight.

He loved it. Looks real and very heavy

It's BIG. I wanted a dress watch and bought this from Amazon online. I'm not tiny by any means. 5ft 11, a fair amount of pounds on me. My shirts are XL to XXL, broad shoulders, large hands, etc. The dial diameter on this watch is still ** almost ** too big for my wrist. I'm keeping it, it works, but I would caution those who have medium to smaller builds/ wrists that this watch may look out of proportion on you. I'm going to have 1 link taken out of the band. It would be nice if they had something(s) next to the watch to give a sense of scale. All that being said, it's eye catching and seems to be well made. It came packed in a nice case with a micro size padded "pillow" to wrap the watch around. For 60 bucks I will keep it. So far, I can't speak to it's accuracy. HISTORY WITH PREVIOUS ARMITRON DRESS WATCH: My last Armitron Men's dress watch ( a sort of Rolex Oyster blue dial knock off) did and (even now) still does keep good time. However, the band clasp failed after 2 years use and the * correct * band that goes with that model costs 2/3 of a new watch ($39.95). My previous Armitron to that (divers watch with all stainless case, blue dial) lasted 3 or so years. My opinion: Armitrons are a compromise, you get a decent looking watch that will probably cost you 1/2 to a 1/3 of a Seiko and last you about 3 years of constant use. In the case of this watch, if your usage pattern is: occasional use, night on the town, "bling" watch, that spends most of it's time in a drawer except for every other friday... it might last you 10 years (with the required battery changes of course.) Most definitely this is NOT the watch to wear for everyday rough trade / carpentry, work.UPDATE: Jan 2016 Battery has died in just over 3 months of ownership. (At least I'm assuming it's just the battery at this point.) Not the end of the world but I expect better of a nearly new watch. Just an FYI. I do like the look of the watch and I get compliments on it by the way. Over and out.

I like everything about it.. it is very easy to read.

The watch keeps time well enough but looks really cheap in comparison to the pictures here on Amazon. It looks much cheaper and feels cheap in person. I like Armitron but skip this watch.
