This was a gift from my boyfriend, and it's absolutely gorgeous in person. I truly don't think I was able to do it justice in my own pics; it actually looks as lovely as the product photos! The silvertone metal and crystal loop both shine beautifully, the latter in a wide range of pastels including some lovely lavender and peach tones. The incredibly detailed kitty design has several different layers, which really gives it a lot of depth.While I wouldn't call the pendant overly fragile, I'll definitely treat it with great care. Although everything seems sturdy and secure, there are some tiny, intricate parts that stick out slightly, and they could certainly bend under too much pressure. They also catch on certain fabrics, so I wouldn't wear this necklace over fuzzy sweaters or with most scarves. It seems extremely well-crafted overall though, and it has a very high quality appearance. With a few small precautions, I believe it'll stay in great condition for a long time. Well worth it in my view!
