The anchor pendant had a very dull/dark finish in some areas. The bottom center and hooks had more of a brushed finish in some areas, as if it was not properly polished completely.The chain is not sterling. It is stainless.I'm not sure that the anchor is even sterling. It may just be the bail that is sterling and that is what you have to watch out for when buying jewelry on here because there is some trickery in the product info and descriptions. A lot of times just the clasp or bail is sterling and then the actual item is not. That seems to be the case with this one.
