I had been looking for a new Diver to wear this summer and during my research, I came across this beautiful timepiece. I researched and watched some videos before purchasing just to be sure it's what I wanted. I'm really happy with my purchase and the watch is very beautiful. I love the color of the dial and the Scuba Dude logo is really awesome as well. The watch is 40mm, so it fits great on my smaller wrists, I'm also impressed by the weight of the watch, it's a great wear. It is a little different as far as winding and setting the date than any other watch I've owned, so it helps to watch some videos describing the stem features and the quickest way to set the date. I don't know about the accuracy yet, as I've only had it a couple of days and haven't tracked it yet. For the price, it definitely seems like an awesome value! I may make this watch my daily wearer for this summer!

I've had my amphibia for at least few days and I really love it. It has an unique soviet look and bring back my childhood. I have several much nicer and more expensive watches, but it is this watch that I'm ready to wear every day. I like that Vostok watches have a reputation of being sturdy, really waterproof and reliable. Some collectors compare this watch with a Zippo lighter and I think it make sense.Let's take a look at the parameters of the watch I bought.AppearanceThe case looks good, it weight enough for mechanical watch and has a shiny polished finish. The brass bezel with the stainless steel covering is typical for Amphibian and I prefer to replaced it to the custom one.Watch bandThe resin band is tought and easy to wear. The resin is a hypoallergic material so this type of band is good for people with sensitive skin.WaterproofI am not a diver but I like swimming in the weekend’s morning. After an hour of swimming watch looked like new. No fog or other symptoms.AccuracyThe heart of this watch is automatic mechanical movement Vostok 2416Б with 31 jewels. Watch runs about 8 seconds fast per day and this is good enough for me.CrystalThe crystal is made of acrylic, so if it scratches, it will be easy to polish up.In conclusion, I have worn my new Amphibian for 3 days now and I am very happy with it. To my mind Vostok is as good or even better as much more expensive watches which are copied the design of each other and there is nothing to them.

For the money, this is a quality watch. Came from Russia by mail which is pretty neat to see the postmarks, writing, etc. Really surprised by the fit and finish; expected junk but very pleasantly surprised. Only downside no quick date changer otherwise, all good.

I bought my Amphibia Scuba Dude purely on a whim. I read an article about them online. Who wouldn’t want to own a watch nicknamed “Scuba Dude?” It’s a nice-looking watch and mine has been keeping good time over the couple days I’ve had it. It’s pretty light on the wrist for a mechanical watch, yet seems well put together. The case back is a unique design and water resistance improves at greater depths. It is water resistant to 200 meters. It hand winds but, doesn’t hack, which is of no concern to me. The relatively low beat rate should save wear and tear on the internals. It has a couple of quirks having to do with the crown and setting the date that may not be to everyone’s taste but, make it appealing to others. It’s a cool piece of horological history and for less than $100, I really don’t think you can go wrong.

Just got this Amphibian today and so far I really like it. Great looking watch. I got to learn the anatomy of a Vostok Amphibian today. I got to take it apart so I could clean the inside of the crystal. It came with a large speck of dust/paint floating around the dial and inside the crystal. My wife suggested I send it back. No chance of that. Checked out a YouTube video and broke out my little watch repair tool kit. In a matter of minutes I had my watch taken apart, cleaned the crystal and put it all back together. Not a big deal. I love it!!Update:8/26/18I forgot to mention in my initial review but the rubber strap on this watch is pretty darn decent. Really soft and comfortable. Seems pretty sturdy too. I've since added an exhibition case back. This watch is still one of my favorites

Nice look and feel. Good heavy weight. Fogged the glass swimming in a 9ft pool. Not happy with that.

The first thing I noticed was that the resin (black rubber) watch band was actually long enough to fit comfortably on my wrist (I don’t like tight fitting bands). The watch looks great and keeps great time. It is easy to set time and date (once you know the 12 to 8 to 12 secret to advance the date). The crown is loose, which might seem odd to many people, but remember that is a Vostok design feature. Once you get used to it, it’s fine. Overall, great watch...I will probably buy another Vostok soon.

Like the quirky dial featuring the Scuba Dude on a blue green background. The strap is surprisingly comfortable and better than some from Seiko I have owned. Own a piece of Soviet horological history at a good price.
