The chain itself is very sturdy with a strong Lobster clasp. For anyone that has Italian blood running through their veins or loves Italy, this would make a beautiful gift or special piece. This is the type of necklace that could become an heirloom and will be something special to pass down throughout your family. These coins were only made from 1955 to 1989. They were discontinued as acceptable currency and Italy and 2002, so this coin will be worth a lot of money someday and are selling on Etsy for almost $400 currently. If you're looking for something special for yourself, a good luck token, this is definitely the necklace for you.

Excuse my horrible pictures but this is a really good necklace. The coin is pretty big and the chain is pretty and seems to hold it so far. My only issue was when I received it the box was damaged and the chain was tangled bad. And I had a email sent to me late to tell my that my necklace shipped after I already had received it. Other than those things I'm pretty happy with it. Thank you!
