As soon as I removed the captive bead, the ring snapped closer together and the bead no longer fits in the ring at all. Totally unusable. Also, not sure if this would be the case if the ring were the correct width for the bead, but the gap in the ring was WAY too small to fit any adult's nose.

It fits well and is comfortable to wear, however the actual detailed part rolls in constantly. So what you're actually looking at is just the captive bead mechanism and not the honeycomb.
