While the stone looks rather large from the photo, it's not as big as you'd think it is, but that's not a deal-breaker because the ring is just gorgeous and delicate looking. It fits beautifully, a testament to excellent sizing. The amber is not quite as bright an orange as the picture shows, but it's definitely orange and a beautiful shade of it. The silver work is excellent an delicate as well. I'm very pleased with this piece, and I'm very particular about my jewelry. This "passes" muster. It would make a wonderful gift for someone special -- or for yourself as well. You won't be disappointed.

I have ordered many items from Ian and Valeri Co. in the last few months. While most of their customers like their amber items, I tend to prefer the more unusual stones which they also offer: charoite, seraphinite, eudialyte...My mother and sister collected amber when I was younger, making me somewhat indifferent to the it because it was ubiquitous. Seeing the high quality of amber offered by this seller (with a certificate), I decided to order a few amber items as well.Curiously, while I've owned much more expensive amber items which did not mean a lot to me, it was this one (probably the cheapest one!) which made a significant difference. It is beautiful, not very large and somewhat delicate. Yet it is very vibrant; the amber shines like liquid gold.The shipping was impeccable, as always with this company. Once again, I am very pleased.

Very disappointed with this ring. The stone is much smaller in real life and was very tarnished when I received it. The band itself is very weak and not durable. Read the reviews and thought I was getting a good deal but I will be returning this. What a waste.

I wear this ring everyday. There's something special about amber - it's a warm stone. I believe its the only gem stone that's warm - the rest are cold to the touch. I get a lot of compliments on this ring.

This ring looks delicate but not too over-the-top. I wore it almost daily. I say "wore" it because my sister liked it so much I ended giving it to her! I'm considering getting another one, but I'm not sure I want the exact same one my sister now has! Fairly priced too; a very good purchase, but hide it from your sisters! ;)

This ring is much nicer than I expected for the price point! What I wish though is that the description had been a bit more detailed/in depth. It's hard to tell from the one photo: how large it is, how wide the band is, whether the amber is set into the ring or protrudes. So here's my attempt- I have short fingers and the ring takes up about 2/3-3/4 of the space between my hand and first finger joint. The band is quite slender but not flimsy and the amber is a pretty healthy chunk that sticks up from the base about 1/8 of an inch. It's very comfortable to wear & looks very nice. I got it to be a temporary replacement for my wedding ring (swollen Lupus joints + steroid treatment= my wedding ring isn't going to fit for a while!) and have gotten quite a few compliments.Overall, I really like this ring but the lack of photos/description details is keeping me from a 5-star review.
