I bought this pendant as a Christmas gift for my SO, and I love it. The picture is exactly as the pendant looks in person, but as previous reviews have stated, the chain is really light and delicate feeling. I don't mind that, but I can see why people aren't giving it 5/5. But overall, it's a perfect pendant for that special someone.

After a thorough search to find my daughter the most exquisite necklace possible for a 'turning point' birthday, I saw this pendant and thought, could this be the one? It is difficult enough to buy a piece of jewelry for someone else but much more so without having the opportunity to see it in person. (Ah, such is the age of on-line shopping.) Still, nothing else came close to the look and sophistication of this necklace. I knew with Amazon's great return policy that if it did not suit my daughter a full refund would be quickly forthcoming, no questions asked. My daughter, whose birthstone is Amethyst and who is quite particular that the color be deep and rich, told me the stone is gorgeous, the setting beautiful, size perfect for work or dress.

Pretty color and I love the shape of the silver loop holding the stone. The necklace is a nice size too. The negatives are the very thin chain and the flat round facet on the front of the stone. The way the stone is cut in certain lights looks as if there is a hole in the center. Most stones including my diamond solitaire have a flat faceted top, but this one seems larger than usual and the light hits it in an odd way. This was a gift for sons' girlfriend, and she loves it.

It's tough to find expensive items for my lady, because she likes very thin or small jewelry. She's got bright blue eyes, so blue topaz is the perfect compliment.This is indeed a small item, and that little blue gem adds just that little spark of color to compliment a blue eyed woman.I looked through literally thousands of items to finally settle on this one. It's just simply elegant, and isn't an overly complex design which neither of us like. It's small size means she doesn't ever mind leaving it on 24/7

Bought this as a gift and really like the delicate quality of the pendant. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star rating is that the chain has a rather weightless quality to it, could be more sturdy. I hope it doesn't break. Other than that it is a beautiful piece.
