This watch is very very nice, the machining and polish is very well done. It catches the light well, the strap is perfect for the fall, winter, spring, probably would change in the summer. The lume is the down side, but it catches any light so well its still legible in low light. The value for the money is very high, it actually feels of the same quality or better than Tudor black bay 58, but not a chronometer. Highly recommend. Probably will get another Alpina after my Ball purchase. The water resistance could be higher but it's not a diver so...The thickness is just right for me for this type of watch, feels very sturdy and I like the heft on my wrist, it is very comfortable. I glad more people don't know about this brand so I will probably be the only one wearing it around me.PS I have no problems with this watch keeping time, someone wrote of it losing 24 hours in 30 days, sounds highly suspect, why would you throw it away when you have a warranty?

One of my favorite watches. It's really stunning in person. The blue has a slight green tint to it which sets it apart from the standard blue dial. It's a little larger than your typical watch, but it fits the design well. The stainless, blue face, and brown strap with red back just work in a way that's really great. Feels very well made, but it is a bit heavier than average. The only downside is that the light brushed finish on the bezel scratches a little easy. Even with that I love it. I have about 20 watches ranging from inexpensive to multiple times what this one goes for, and this is probably my favorite overall. It's a lot of watch for the money.

I've owned this watch for a week and I am very happy with it. It's a large watch. I have a 7 inch wrist. It has wrist presence. It's very well made and I think it looks great. For whatever reason, I've not heard much about Alpina or this watch, so it's also a rather unique watch to own (not very likely someone else will be wearing one). It's been running about 30 seconds fast per day, which is well within specs and expectations for a new watch. I've been looking at some of Alpina's other watches as well. They're a well established watchmaker with a long horological history and I like that, too. All in all a great purchase!

A below the radar watch. Nothing fancy. Just a competent in its own skin type of vibe is what this watch says to me. Solid feeling bidirectional bezel. Tough as nails feeling to winding stem. Flat polished sidesthat look like they will stand the test of time. I've bumped this watch a few times. No real noticeable scuffs or scars. It'll fall into a nice rotation watch for my collection once newness wears off.Ran about 10 sec a day fast when I originally got. Has seem to fall back to 4sec fast over time. I can live with that.Watch is a true 45mm case. Sticks out from under sweatshirt cuffs.Watch should last. It's build quality is pretty nice for the price point.

I’ve been eyeing this watch for close to a year and finally pulled the trigger. The blue isn’t as brilliant as it is on the websites, but that’s okay. It adds to the austerity to the watch. This is my first automatic, and I knew it would not be accurate for long, so it’s unfortunate this is not good for my temporal OCD (it’s an old military and instructor duty habit that won’t go away). I’ve looked everywhere to find out if it’s okay to set my watch everyday to my GPS clock, and it’s inconclusive, so I still do it anyway.TL;DR: would buy again. Go for the black watch face instead.

Fantastic all around automatic sport watch

I receive a lot of compliments about this watch, and it really is a beautiful watch. However, I notice this watch always gains a minute or two every two weeks which isn’t great for accuracy - I always have to reset the time, every time I take it out of the winder.
