I wear another Alex and Ani ring with a dangling cross and love it. I never take it off. People ask about it all the time and they think that it will drive them crazy to have something dangle from a ring, but the truth is I don't notice it at all. I was thrilled to see this as a Lightning Deal and I like the expandable wire mechanism even better than my ring. (My ring has delicate wire loops while this ring has bars with channels that the wire slides through.) The crystal is held to the dangle ring by a thin post that goes completely through the crystal. The color of the crystal is very pale yellow. I was very happy with the ring for about 3 days. Unfortunately, the crystal came off of the post that held it to the sliding ring. It's as if the hole through the crystal was bigger than the post end and just slid off. The crystal was still in one piece and the ring was still in one piece - neither actually broke. I returned the ring and hope to see a better design in the future.
